Nuzhat Ahmed, M.D completed her Internal Medicine residency at University Medical Center Brackenridge in Austin, Texas in 1997. She was a senior staff physician at The Austin Diagnostic Clinic, a large multi-specialty group in Austin, Texas for 15 years. While in Austin, Dr. Ahmed served as Medical Director for long-term health care centers, as well as home health and hospice agencies.
Dr. Ahmed is board certified in Internal Medicine and has been credentialed by the North American Menopause Society (NAMS), a leading scientific organization focused on menopausal health, as a NAMS Certified Menopause Practitioner (NCMP).
NCMPs are a woman's midlife healthcare specialist, whose mission is to promote health and ensure quality of life through these difficult changes and beyond. They specialize in hormonal, including bio-identical, as well as non-hormonal management of menopause related issues along with diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of osteoporosis.
